Little more than two months has past since Coolhousing began to use virtual servers based on KVM platform. Thanks to KVM it became technologically possible for us to include in the list of supported operation systems also Microsoft Windows operation system. The only obstacle was the amount of the licensing fee for the which was comparable with the price of the entire virtual server. However that is a history now.

Coolhousing improves detection of fire in server rooms
Recently, Coolhousing finished installation of a new system for fire detection in their collocation centre. The heart of the system consists of a modern and precise laser detector, Vesda VLF 250, which activates fire alarm and alerts centre operators if it detects smoke particles in the air. The system is capable of distinguishing up to four pre-configured fire levels. Thanks to this innovation, servers of Coolhousing's customers are better protected than ever before.

Recycled, but still powerful
In dedicated servers offer are recycled HP servers. These servers was in our offer earlier, but at now are not used. We want return these reliable and powerful servers in to operation for great price. Servers was cleaned, cooling fans was been replaced, discs and RAM tested. First server is HP Compaq dx2450 based on AMD Athlon X2 4450B, with 2GB PC2-6400 and two 250GB SATA II HDD. Second server is HP Proliant ML115 based on AMD Opteron 1210, 2GB PC2-5300E and two 160GB SATA HDD.
