Libreboot left the GNU
The GNU project said goodbye to Libreboot after long discussion that took four months. The reason was apparently bully behaviour towards transsexual employee of Free Software Foundation. CEO Richard Stallman finally agreed with separation of Libreboot, because none of developer disagreed with Libreboot leaving. The question still remains, what actually brings membership in the GNU software to projects today? More information
Windows 10 waits for big update
Do not stay only by penguins. Windows has also its place in the IT. Version 10 waits a significant update called the Creators Update in the near future. This update should bring a lot of new tools and enhancements, for example, a new driver Surface Dial. Significant changes we will see even in browser Edge or Start menu. Pornhub released statistics of 2016
And now, finally, the main news. Popular server with „Adult content”, Pornhub, released its annual statistics. Besides deviations, which residents of different states are focused (in Czech rep. traditionally lead lesbians), we waited on system statistics. From these statistics it is apparent, that server has so huge traffic, Czech internet can be the envy, approached 51% of visitors using Google Chrome and the entire 61% of visitors were from smartphones (the other 11% of tablets and only 28% of computers). Ansible vulnerability
Ansible, platform for configuration and manage of computers, contains a serious vulnerability. This can lead to the compromise of the managed node where the attacker can run arbitrary commands on the host computer. More information
Be aware of Firejail
Several serious security flaws were discovered in sandbox tool Firejail. Vulnerabilities allow to run a shell with root privileges or local privilege escalation. More information
