After more than twenty years of IPv6 existence and widely discussions, protocol IPv6 has been shifted from the standard draft category to a full-fledged standard. Slackware celebrates 24 years
Beloved as well as hated Slack. This distribution, over which many Debian lovers freaked out (the previous one did same over Ubuntu), celebrated the 24th anniversary of its existence. At the same time, Slackware has become the longest-ever developed and supported distribution at all. Hopefully Patrick Volkerding will hold it on for a while. More information

When it’s summer, let’s have a look at one light information. On July 14, 2017, Unix has had nicely round number – 1.5 billion Unix seconds from the so-called epoch time, which is January 1, 1970.
