Today´s summary of news from the world of IT will be special. Last week many things happened around the Apple and therefore we will focus on this platform and we will describe the most important news of the past week.
iOS 8.3 brings new functions and many corrections
New version of mobile operating systém iOS, already version 8.3, which Apple released on Wednesday, brings many corrections and also some new functions. The corrections include many improvements at work with wifi and bluetooth. We waited from UX area enlargement the space bar at the default systém keyboard. New set of emoticons or support of new languages in Siri (Czech is still missing) are also between news. More information
Application Photos is finally available
Not just a new version iOS, but also a major update to OS X this week surprised us. In version Yosemite 10.10.3 we finally waited wishfully desired application Photos, which replaces the older iPhoto and proffesional Aperture and it´s completely free. You have to prepare for significant decrease in power of your computer for time of import and conversions of existing image library into this application. More information
CleanMyMac 3 arrives
One of the most popular tools for maintenance OS X waited for new major version. CleanMyMac version 3 brings new functions for maintenance and revised mechanism of storage disposition and disk space. Newly you can find all locally stored attachments from application Mail, which unnecessarily occupy space on the disk. We waited also the icon in the dock. With it we can monitor the actual utilization of memory and disk space. More information
Apple bought the keyboard Dryft
American startup Dryft has focused on the development of custom keyboards for mobile devices. It develops keyboards for Android and also for Apple, which started to support user keyboards from eighth series of its iOS. Now the Dryft bacame part of Apple when Apple brought it within unobtrusive acquisition. Whether it´s for the interest in the product or rather for a capable development team, it is still an unanswered question. More information
Coolhousing is a member of NIX.SK
The enterpreneur of the national peering node NIX.CZ has acquired in March the smaller of two Slovak Sitelix nodes, re-naming it to NIX.SK. Coolhousing is also a member of this renewed node, having already joined last year. Thanks to the direct connection to Slovak peering nodes of NIX.SK and SIX, we can now offer you connectivity from the interconnected networks as well as domestic connectivity. About NIX.sk
