Intel will stop to charge for Thunderbolt 3
Although Thunderbolt has been exist for many years and Apple under good, old Steve, made good advertising for it, Thunderbolt is well-known only in Apple community. Intel made a decision to change it. From next year, Intel will stop to collect license fees from manufacturers of mainboads and other components. More massive expansion of this USB competitor should be followed. More information
Google buys domains
Everybody knows, even Jiří Kajínek, that ranges of IPv4 address have already been exhausted for several year. Although there are efforts to move all infrastructure to IPv6, many people and organizations still have a problem with it. Google has therefore decided to buy a whole million IPv4 addresses from Merit Network for better use of its services. This is the range of 35.192.0.0/12, which should be used primarily by users of Google’s cloud services. More information
Microsoft goes (again) to the Chinese government
It is not surprising information. The Chinese government has refused to deploy Windows 10 in the office so far as well as pushed Microsoft to make its own editions for it. And Microsoft agreed – the new edition, Windows 10 China Government Edition, without OneDrive, provides better control over updates, and supports Chinese government document encryption, is on!
