Housing of servers: what happens after the order?

If you decide to choose our data center for colocation your technology, you might be wondering what happens after order and how the installation process will proceed. Let's walk through these steps together.

Pre-Installation Phase

1) Clarification of Requirements. After your order, we will contact you to go over your specific requirements for the service. Housing is not just about the type of rack or tower server, IP addresses, and connectivity, but also about its power consumption, A/B redundancy, remote access to the server, rails, and cabling. In short, each server is unique in its purpose, operation, and configuration, and that’s how we approach it in our data center.

2) Server Power Consumption. We meet with clients, who are not sure about the exact power consumption of their server. Thanks to our power consumption calculator and similar servers, we estimate your server’s average monthly power consumption. After month measuring of the consumption using an intelligent power socket, we verify this value, and after your approval, change it in order to you only pay for what your server actually consumes.

3) Colo Space Preparation. As soon as all variables have been agreed upon, we begin preparing the space for your equipment. Our technicians will send you the network configuration for your server. This setup, along with your contract and power consumption graphs, will also be available in our unique ControlPanel administration.

Server installation under 10 minutes

4) Add ID and Contract Electronically. Before your arrival, you will need to add your details into our system for security reasons. Without this information, we will not be able to authorize you and grant access to your dedicated space. The colocation contract can be signed electronically and emailed to us, or you can bring a signed document with you on the day of installation along with the server.

5) Free Server Transport and Installation. It depends on you, when and how you would like to deliver the server to us. The data center is open 24/7. If you live far away, we can arrange transportation for your server to our center, install it for you, and then send you photo documentation. This service is free of charge.

6) 100% Prepared Space. After entering the data center and authorization, our hardware technician will show you prepared space with all network and power cables for your server, and help with the installation and connection. The entire installation process will take no more than 10 minutes. And if you forget any components at the office, we will be happy to provide them for you.

7) Start of billing and gift. After successful installation, you can enjoy our delicious coffee and water, or continue in server configuration in the hall. Meanwhile, we will send you a document via email to confirm the receipt of your server, and billing will start at this point based on the payment period you preferred. As a thank-you, you will receive a gift bag filled with surprises from us.

Subsequent Optimization

8) Expansion and Flexibility. Server colocation with us is highly flexible and depends on your specific needs. Would you like to add a management port to your server, change your billing period, connect a virtual server to your physical server via hybrid connection, or upgrade your connectivity? We can provide all of this and much more.

9) Power Consumption Optimization. Thanks to the graphs in our ControlPanel administration, you will have a clear overview of how much power your server is consuming. This allows you to optimize server operation and adjust pricing conditions accordingly. In the long run, this will certainly pay off.
